How many treatments do I need?
A treatment course would consist of the following:

6 treatments spaced 2-3 weeks apart.

A maintenance treatment is recommend – every 3-6 months

What can I expect pre, during and post treatment?
​Before treatment

A doctor clearance is required for pigmentation correction.
-
Avoid unprotected sun exposure or sun tanning 4 weeks prior to your treatment.

Use broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily and protect the proposed treatment site from direct sun exposure.

Do NOT use fake tan 2 weeks prior to your treatment

Take antiviral medication before the treatment if you are prone to cold sore

Shave the treatment area 24-48 hours prior to enhance the light penetration.

During your treatment
You will feel a slight warmth or tingling sensation, some clients compare it to a warm massage.

Post treatment

A sunburn-like sensation is expected for about 6-12 hours after the treatment. If this is uncomfortable apply cold compresses to the treated area. Try keep the skin cool.

Synergie aftercare gel is recommended for home care use- help to calm and soothe the skin. Your skin may be temperature sensitive, so do not use hot water for your shower or bath, no saunas, working out etc.

Use an SPF 30+ daily and protect the treatment site from direct sun exposure.

Treating pigmentation a recommended tyrosinase inhibitor should be used as well as anyone with a darker skin tone.

Do not exfoliate the skin and avoid using active ingredients for 1 week after the treatment.

Do NOT pick skin crusting as this may lead to a scar!
